Our Journey Began in 2012
In 2012, the founders of KomboGrass™ sought to install artificial grass at their home. To their surprise, every supplier insisted on adding sand or rubber granule infill to the surface of the new grass. This seemed illogical—no one adds sand or rubber pellets to new carpet, so why do it for artificial grass? One of the founders of KomboGrass™, an engineer was driven by this question, so he conducted detailed research and began collaboration with several manufacturers. This led to the creation of a revolutionary design that included the use of polyurethane glue for the backing, different backing matting, higher tensile strength grass fibers, and optimized gauge, stitch rates, fiber types and DETEX combinations. Thus, the KomboGrass™ range was born.
